Festivals: Our Picks
By Chloe Lizzie
Sun, music and tents! That can only mean one thing; festival season! Festivals are so much fun, but they can also be stressful and hard to plan for. Here are our favourite picks for festivals and top tips for surviving!
Our Favourite UK Festivals:
Do you ever just want to go back to your bed after a hard day dancing in the fields? Parklife is a non-camping, two day festival in Manchester. It has a variety of music and has major line-ups with acts such as The 1975, A$AP Rocky, Major Lazor and many more!
The Festival is on a great public transport route and there are many cheap hotels close to where the festival is held, which is Heaton Park! The festival is 17+ so remember to bring your ID!
Reading and Leeds Festival
Reading and Leeds festival hosts many amazing acts over the space of 4 days. This festival has two locations, one up north in Leeds and one down south in Reading. It is held on the same weekend and the acts swap from each location.
Tickets for this year’s festival are priced at £221.40 including booking fee. You can book an early-bird pass if you want to go for longer as it is a camping festival but be warned, it does get VERY muddy!
If you love R&B, Rap and Grime, Wireless festival is the one for you! This year Wireless Festival is going to be held in London in July! Wireless 2019 has SOLD OUT because of the amazing line-up. Headlining this year are Cardi-B, Migos, Travis Scott and A$AP Rocky. Wireless isn't a camping festival so you will need to find alternative accommodation!
A Festival Abroad:
Located between Barcelona and Valencia, Benicassim Festival is a highly recommended festival. Previous years have seen acts such as The Killers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Kendrick Lamar.
Brits head over to this 4 day festival as it gives them a chance to enjoy 8 days in the sun as a ticket gives access to eight days in the campsite! Tickets are a good price too, this year's tickets are only 167.40 EUR!
